On August 6, at 15: 00, the exhibition "Hiroshima – history lessons" will open

The exhibition is dedicated to the tragic events in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki: the fate of residents who were victims of atomic bombings, and preserving the memory of one of the largest disasters of the XX century.

August 6 became a memorable day of mourning, which is celebrated not only in Japan, but also around the world. The exhibition will feature a collection of photographs by Japanese photographer Eimatsu Hoshita, who was killed in the bombing of Hiroshima.

On the opening day of the exhibition, a round table meeting will be held, which will be attended by the doctor of historical Sciences, Professor of the Institute of history of St. Petersburg state University A. S. Puchenkov, candidate of historical sciences, associate Professor of St. Petersburg State University of architecture and construction E. P. Guryev, and candidate of historical sciences, the senior researcher of the Historical Park I. V. Petrov.

The exhibition is organized with the assistance of the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg, the Consulate General of Japan in St. Petersburg, and the Regional public organization "Information and analytical center "Remember all by name". The exhibition will run until August 18. Admission is free.
