Manege Central exhibition hall launches offline tours

Activities will be held within the framework of the exhibition project "A different view. Portrait of the country in the lens of Magnum Agency".

During the tour, the audience, along with an employee of the curatorial Department of the Manege, will visit the exhibition "A different view", learn the history of the Magnum Agency, interesting facts from the biographies of photographers and the nuances of creating photo projects presented at the exhibition.

Tours are held daily at 12.00, 15.00 and 18.00. Participation in the tour can take from 1 to 5 visitors of the Arena (the cost does not depend on the number of participants). Its duration is 1.5 hours.

The format of art mediation includes active involvement of participants in a creative discussion. The mediator will conduct a fascinating tour of the exhibition and give each participant the opportunity to share their impressions and discuss in detail the issues that interest them.

Mediation is held on weekends at 18.00. The duration of art mediation is 2 hours. The maximum number of participants in mediation is also 5 people.

Exhibition project “A different view. Portrait of the country in the lens of Magnum Agency” was created in collaboration with Magnum Photo Agency together with curator and photography historian Nina Gomiashvili.

The exhibition at the Manege shows a portrait of the USSR / Russia from 1947 to 2020 in the works of legendary documentary photographers: Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Eva Arnold, Thomas Dvorak and others. Manege presented more than 250 works from 39 photographers, some of which the public will see for the first time.
